- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪Sorry Schnucks but I'm not that impressed. Low selection of ethnic foods. Couldn't even find Tahini, a very common meditaranian ingredient. Also way over priced. I'm not going to pay 6.99 for less then 3oz of goat cheese, or 10.00 for 2 tlbs worth of pine nuts. Maybe cut back on grocery baggers and require your customers to return their carts themselves. That would cut back on the cost. There was also not a single clerk on the sales floor whom I could ask to help me locate items. I shouldn't have to walk back to the seafood counter to ask where to find sun dried tomatoes. They were all the way up front with clear container of trail mix in the middle of the produce section. - ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I love the selection if meat at Schnucks. The cashiers are really nice and respectful. However, when it comes to checking out with WIC vouchers, it seems that the cashiers may be unfamiliar with the products and if there is a problem, they embarrass the customer amd announce WIC as food stamps and project their voices when doing so. There is a stigma when using govt assistance already and the way cashiers handle things seem to exacerbate the stigma. There should be some etiquette taught towards sensitivity to the stigma of using WIC or food stamps. Other than that, I shop there all the time.
